ORTHOPAEDICS NEW

The department provides management related to disorders of bone, joint and a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. JOIN REPLACEMENT

Arthroplasty, also called joint replacement, is surgery to replace a damaged joint with an artificial joint (made of metal, ceramic or plastic). Providers usually replace the entire joint (total joint replacement). Less often, they replace only the damaged part of the joint.

TRAUMA

Trauma surgery is a surgical specialty that utilizes both operative and non-operative management to treat traumatic injuries, typically in an acute setting. Trauma surgeons generally complete residency training in general surgery and often fellowship training in trauma or surgical critical care.

HAND SURGERIES

Hand surgery deals with both surgical and non-surgical treatment of conditions and problems that may take place in the hand or upper extremity including injury and infection. Hand surgery may be practiced by graduates of general surgery, orthopedic surgery and plastic surgery.

The Division of Orthopaedic Oncology offers expert care to children and adults diagnosed with tumors and tumor-like conditions of the bone and soft tissue, including bone metastases, sarcomas, benign and cancerous tumors of the bone or soft tissue and pathologic fractures.
